In Brief :

The LONG BEACH PLAYHOUSE is offering its 24th annual SUMMER YOUTH WORKSHOP in acting, music, and dance for youth ages 7-16. Classes will be held at the Playhouse, 5021 E. Anaheim Street in Long Beach , Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon June 30, 2008 through August 1, 2008 . Tuition is $250.00 inclusive for the 5 week-long session.

Enrollment is limited to 60 students. The classes have a student – teacher ratio of 20 students per teacher. Each day students will have an hour of music, and hour of dance and an hour of acting with professional instructors.

Acting classes include improvisation and scene study. Dance classes consist of musical comedy dance techniques. Music classes include vocal projection, enunciation, song preparation and performance.

Due to popular demand, parents are strongly urged not to enroll children who are unable to attend all of the classes.
